Graduate Diploma in Law & Legal Experience
Law degree graduate and experienced legal aid paralegal with a strong foundation in UK legal practice and case management.
In 2016, I pursued my growing interest in the legal system by completing the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at BPP University—an intensive, two-year fast-track law conversion course and graduated with a commendation. Whilst studying, I worked as a Legal Aid Paralegal at John Ford Solicitors, a specialist human rights and public law firm.

Just one month into the role, I was managing my own caseloads as a conducting fee earner, consistently exceeding billing targets (£600/day) and securing £70K+ in legal aid funding to support clients’ access to justice. This fast-paced legal environment strengthened my skills in case analysis, evidence review, negotiation, and written advocacy.

Contract Law
-
